where they were getting ready for school next monday. there's a boardwalk between the pods. there is a plastic roof over a wooden structure and 40 trailers assembled to serve as a school for 450 students. that is eastern high school for the entire year while the old school that was built in 1923 undergoes renovation. for the head of school facilities, this is just another example of the system finally getting in place. >> the summer is not as rough as it was before. >> the teachers came back to work today. about half a dozen schools are newly renovated or new facilities. at one school, they seemed delighted, especially with the details like marble floors and tiles from china. >> we are thrilled. the building is gorgeous. the city has invested millions of dollars on a brand new school for the kids of trinidad.
